THE CHALLENGE

The Museum of Visual Materials approached Caliber in need of a name change and overall rebrand to better align with their unique offerings and purpose. The name caused confusion within the community, as the organization didn’t display works of art and wasn’t technically a museum. Since 2007, the Museum of Visual Materials has served as an event venue and community art space – and they needed a new name and brand to reflect that. Throughout the process, it was critical that the brand honored their historical charm while also highlighting their modern versatility.

THE SOLUTION

After thorough research and thoughtful conversations, the space was rebranded as Mosaic, complete with a new logo mark and brand elements. The name Mosaic alludes to people coming together from various backgrounds, whether that be celebrating a wedding or getting creative in an art class. The new logo feels both modern and classic, utilizing simple clean lines to represent the iconic windows on the front of the building. The updated tagline, “Every Moment a Masterpiece,” reflects both the art classroom and event venue aspects of the organization and highlights the space’s inspiring and dynamic atmosphere. Together, these elements create a brand that resonates with Mosaic’s diverse audience and supports their mission of creating a space where people can learn, play, create, and celebrate.
